Purpose

The aim of this day is simple: to encourage the faithful, call up the aspiring, and foster greater connectivity among like-minded shepherds in the San Joaquin Valley and beyond.

We are grateful to welcome Dr. Abner Chou, along with Pastor Scott and several members of the GCV pastoral staff, as we search the Scriptures regarding the mandate, marks, and motivation for pastoral holiness. In a day of viral disqualifications and mass pastoral failure, Paul’s charge to Timothy remains urgently relevant: “Keep a close watch on yourself and the teaching” (1 Timothy 4:16. ESV).

Our prayer is that this day would be both theologically sharpening and relationally encouraging as we labor together around the Word of God and enjoy fellowship with one another. We hope you’ll make plans to be with us and that you would bring some from your church leadership who would benefit as well.
